Rayflower: Brilliant Anthology
The above set was used for most tracks on the album, I believe. "Bloom Moment" and "REAL GAME" are the only ones that stand out sonically. The variety of "Color & Play" is not found on this album!
DRUMS:Snare drum: 14"x5.5" Hammered Steel and 14"x6.5" Pearl Hammered Copper
Toms: Pearl MPL 8"x8", 10"x8", 12"x8", 13"x8", 14"x8", 15"x8", 16"x8"
Bass drum: Pearl MPL 20"x16"
I believe the Hammered Copper was used on "REAL GAME" (see pic below). I think most everything else got the Hammered Steel as it all sounds about the same. The snare on "Bloom Moment" is the only one that sounds different; it's a bit snappier and lighter, but I'm not sure what it is.
HEADS:Snare drum: Remo Coated Controlled Sound (top), Remo Ambassador Snare Side (bottom)
Toms: Remo Clear Ambassador (batter), Remo Clear Ambassador (bottom)
Bass drum: Remo Powerstroke 3 (batter), Remo Powerstroke 3 (resonant)
Pretty standard for this time.
CYMBALS:15" Sabian HH X-Celerator Hats
21" Sabian HH Medium Heavy Ride
20", 18" and 17" Sabian HH Medium Thin Crash
10" and 8" Pearl Afro China Splash
19" Sabian Paragon Chinese
20" Sabian HHX Zen Chinese
Also standard for this time period.
Finally, I have this picture. Sakura said he used it to record one of Keiichi Miyako's songs, which was an upbeat number. The song that sonically fits best is probably "REAL GAME." Basically every other song features more prominent multi-tom fills and splash cymbals.
